Reg & Edna Pursey

when i married my ex husband lee i gained two lovely nans, one being edna.
She was so lovely and would fuss around you constantly asking if you wanted a cup of tea or a biscuit and in the end you had to give in and let her have her way.
In her younger years she was a fantastic cook so im told and she loved singing, i remember at nan and grandads 80th birthday party they both sang together it was lovely to hear.
She was a caring lady and took in her sister maudie as a young girl and they stayed together up untill maudie was taken from us.
After that nan just about managed to get on but she missed maude terribly somthing inside her died when she lost her sister.
She was married to reg for many many years and they had two children peter and maureen and stayed in enfield up untill 2002 when they moved into a knew home in cuffley.they were very happy there an dhad lots of friends.
My grandad reg was a character if you didnt know him you would think he was a grumpy old devil but he wasnt he had the driest sense of humour and made me laugh loads.In 2004 he had part of his leg amputated through infection and never seemed to get completly better, altho his love for betting kept him going, he loved the horses and would sit for hours reading the bets and forecasts.
when he passed away in 2005 that left an even bigger whole in nans heart and she struggled to be happy but in 2007 nan joined her sister maudie and husband reg and now they are all togetherin heaven watching over us.
